The introductory part was the tip of how pursuits are birthed with expectations, of how loud the sound of the busy street is, how pursuing excellence is the wrapper of the content of competition and comparison and the dreamy hands figuring their stand.
Also, the part expresses a familiar example of life, but of all the analysis seemed to be, my pen would rather ink a relief.
Being that, the human world has deceitfully fixed to give Ayefele (Life is easy) a hide under Ona kan o wo oja (there’s not one way to the market).
That when there is a holler, it’s majorly that of the two hands wanting to regulate millions in a second. And, allowing discipline to be haunted by desperation (all in the name of a busy street).
This vivid view of the world being large has brought a ghastly form of achievement and made all shapes of gain the only way of sustaining a meaningful existence. Men are out to make money for themselves, no longer to discover themselves and live their lives.
But, to consider is to understand that;
This general street can be busy but it should not hinder dreamy hands from creating a restful method. That is, it is visible that there is success to be attained however, the discovery of who you are, and recognizing the value you can and should add to society brings about rest.
And, a total rest that defines purpose and gives a balanced focus.
Locating rest in the busy street should not be sourced by the drive to regulate millions but by you having value to give to the street. Because value can reproduce a lot of great things and money is just a bit of its product. Many things bring happiness, but only purpose brings satisfaction. Do not join the Oliver twist on the street, wanting more, rather, leave the rest, focusing on the REST by doing what you are good at.
It is restful to take in the right understanding of the street for, it introduces expansion and ushers in fulfillment.
Yorubas would say, A kì í wo ago aláago ṣiṣẹ́ (Do not carry out your duties using someone else’s timepiece) It is indeed true because a baker wouldn’t have her cake in the oven till the harvest time of a farmer who planted yam.
The ground is soft and greased for your success when you;
Simply, know what’s yours,
Ignore the sound of the busy street, yet not living inactively,
Set out when it’s due time,
And stay focused to attain restful achievement.
