THE WORD OF LIFE

My name is Oluwabukunmi Edith, I am a journeyer who believes life is a journey and everyone isn’t excluded from the movement. Whether it comes in phases or seasons, we are all in motion, and the steps we take will either birth a setback or progress to us.

For me, I have come to understand that every step I take counts. Each one shapes who I am becoming. But, amid this journey, something happened that I would love to share with you:

On this very day, I was faced with many tasks and it was quite a big deal for me. I knew I had numerous tasks to attend to but couldn’t find myself doing them. In simpler terms, I knew too much but could not do it.

What, then, did I do?

As a writer, I picked my journal and noted it down with blue ink, “I know too much but cannot do it”.

I left it there for a while and didn’t try to fix anything. All I did was write down my weakness and move on.

Days turned into weeks. Nothing changed. But then, one day, I randomly flipped through those journal pages. I saw what I had written and it made me smile. This time, I didn’t just smile and walk away – I took my red pen and wrote another word in bold letters:

“I AM SELF-SUFFICIENT IN CHRIST’S SUFFICIENCY.” (Philippians 4:13, Amplified version).

Boom! And, that was it!

Beyond the letters, I spoke life to me. It reignited hope for the tasks I had previously abandoned due to my incapability. It gave me the strength to sit with my tasks and tackle them patiently and intentionally.

There are reasons I have chosen not to keep this to myself but share them with you and they are:

  1. My tasks, which seemed bulky to me, may be lighter than the ones you are currently handling, but the words you choose to sit with, will strongly affect you – either negatively or positively.
  2. Your approach towards circumstances and life must be spirited even when nothing around you seems to justify it.
  3. Words, whether spoken or written, linger; they are stirrers to our progress. Therefore, choose rightly.
  4. It is okay to acknowledge your weakness, but don’t stop there – embrace the solution to aid your progress.
  5. Above all, the word of God gives life; take it as a shield and dwell more on it.

With Love,

We all have to encounter such challenges in one way or the other. Those who win did not only encounter challenges but they face it and were declared winners.
I love that statement “The Word of God gives life.”
When I would have kissed the bucket, The Word of God came to my rescue. On this note, The Word of God does not only gives life, #is the life itself#
